Finally a much belated update!

October 2006

A new show called ‘The Best of Frank’ at The Palms at Crown, Melbourne. Including many, but not all, of the elements of the previous show in Sydney. Generally, a more up tempo, swingin’ affair!

May 2006

Invited back to the Showroom, Star City, Sydney for more ‘Frank’.

Decided to take out some songs from the original show, add lots of new ones from Sinatra’s marvellous repertoire, and changed the title to ‘Frank-More from a Life in Song’. More of the same, only different!

April 2006

The DVD of ‘Frank-A Life in Song’  finally completed and a distribution deal negotiated with Roadshow Entertainment.

April 2004 - October 2005

Played the role of Leo Bloom in the Australian production of the Mel Brooks musical ‘The Producers’. Ran for extended seasons in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney. Overall there were more than 500 performances.

October 2003

Final run of ‘Frank-A Life in Song’ in the Showroom at Crown Casino, Melbourne.

May & September 2003

Sell out seasons of ‘Frank-A life in Song’ at the Showroom, Star City, Sydney. In accordance with the new venue, the dancers were cut, new songs added, the monologue was edited and it became more like a Las Vegas floor show, albeit a long one! Recordings were made for production of a DVD.

Change of name for 'Frank'
As you may have noticed on the Home page, the title of my show 'Frank - The Sinatra Story in Song' has been changed to 'Frank - A Life in Song'.The reason for this is that the name Sinatra should not be used without the permission of the Sinatra Family Estate. Although approval of and support for the show has been expressed by Frank's daughter, Tina Sinatra and the Estate's legal representative Bob Finkelstein, they are unable to grant me permission to use the name.
For the sake of simplicity, I've decided to change the name in most of the places it appears on the Website. It's the same show, just a different title.

'Frank' goes overseas!
After exploratory visits to Los Angeles and San Francisco by my Agent and Co-Producer John Cann and myself, we decided for various reasons that neither of these places were right for the first season of the show in North America.
We then set our sights on Toronto, Canada. It is a city with a well established theatre-going population, as well as being my birthplace!
We found the Bluma Appel Theatre in the St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts to be an appropriate venue and have booked the theatre for a season commencing July 13, 2002.
My wife Mandy Carnie will dance in the show again, with a new dance partner, Aaron Cash.
My Australian Musical Director Michael Harrison and musicians Ralph Pyl, Mark Taylor, David Pudney and Gordon Rytmeister will all play in Toronto, with 11 local musicians also being employed.
Lighting Designer Damien Cooper and Sound Director Phil Meltzer will also come to set up the show.
We've put together a team of behind-the-scenes professionals in Toronto to work with us, and needless to say we are all very excited at the prospect of a successful season there. Who knows where it may lead!
